Since its establishment in 1967, Hacettepe University, School of Foreign Languages

Has been proud of preparing its English Prep students for HU Proficiency Exams (HUPE)

by means of a rich variety of teaching and testing materials. Drawing upon an experience exceeding our decades in prep education and considering the continuous demands coming

from the students. We are now happy to initiate the H.U. School of Foreign Languages Publications Series with this first book. Gateway to Proficiency. Prepared with original guestions and activities not only fofr our registered prep students but also for those students who would like to get prepared for HUPE or other similar tests following their success in the entrance examination to university.
